Campus Visits ~ Welcome Center


Campus visits are offered Monday through Thursday at either 8:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. only beginning from the Welcome Center. Friday MavDays campus visits are at 8:30 a.m. beginning from the Milo Bail Student Center, Mammel Hall, or Peter Kiewit Institute .or the Alumni Center. The Welcome Center is located just south of the Durham Science Center off of 67th and Dodge Streets. We are in a large Victorian style home. Sessions are available for first time students and transfer students. Your visit will include an information session with a professional staff member, a walking tour of the Dodge Campus, a shuttle tour of the Pacific Campus, and a tour of one of the residence halls. Campus visits last approximately three to four hours. Please dress accordingly for the weather as we will be walking outside for the tour.

Topics covered in the information include: admissions requirements, scholarship opportunities, financial aid, and much more. We will also arrange academic appointments, depending on availability of department advisors. Visits should be scheduled two weeks in advance to obtain appointments with academic advisors as well as obtaining the tour date that you wish to have.

BE a MAV Day Open House Events


Attending one of UNO's open house BE a MAV Days programs will give you and your family the opportunity to learn all about your future college life at UNO. You'll also get the chance to talk to representatives about academics, financial aid, housing and more. A panel of current students and professional staff will be available to give you the first-hand scoop of life at UNO. A walking tour of campus is included. Open house programs are scheduled from September thru April. Reservations are required to attend and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Typically, check-in and a continental breakfast is at 8:15 a.m. and the program ends at 12:00 p.m. Optional tours of housing are available after 12:00 p.m. along with an option to get assistance applying for admission to the university.

Group Visits


We will also arrange activities and presentations for various groups, such as elementary/high school classes, community agencies and similar organizations.

These sessions can include information about admission requirements; academic support services; a campus tour; and special interest activities. Group visits should be scheduled four weeks in advance. Location / How to Reach Us


UNO is located in the metropolitan area of Omaha, Nebraska. We are centrally located on 60th & Dodge Street. If you travel to Omaha via Interstate 80:
  • Take Exit 449 labeled "72nd Street" and travel north on 72nd Street to Dodge Street.
  • Turn east (right) on Dodge Street.
  • Turn right on 67th Street. Take an immediate left onto University Drive North. You will turn into the first parking lot on your right, Lot I, Welcome Center Parking Lot. You can find us on the map below; We are in the building labeled #8
